Why is having a guide beneficial?

The traditional healthcare system simply does not effectively support prevention or the complex needs of people with chronic illnesses, especially autoimmune diseases. A self-healing guide helps you create a care team that addresses the root of your issues and develop your self-healing capabilities.

Generally, medication is overprescribed and only provides short-term relief, or a “bandaid”. Over time patients often experience a lower quality of life, reduced longevity, high long-term costs, and in some cases irreversible damage, making full recovery out of reach.   

The CDC estimates that a good diet, exercise, good sleep habits, and smoking cessation would prevent 80% of heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and 40% of cancer, yet only 6.3% of Americans engage in all of these behaviors.  Good healthcare providers will only use medication when necessary and encourage you to be a partner in your self-healing with the goal of drastically reducing or eliminating dependency. They prescribe improved lifestyle habits and environmental toxicity reduction but do not have a program to guide them. A self-healing guide provides this vital layer of support.
