The Warrior Spirit
Being a Warrior doesn't mean you have to fight against something.
I went through years of trial and error and learned lessons the hard way before recovery was possible. The most important realization was that fighting your disease can be like fighting yourself. I "fought" relentlessly with deadlines for medical milestones that made me hard on myself, created stress, and worsened symptoms. Typical type A!
Progress was possible when I used my warrior spirit in a self-loving way. I opened my mind and accepted what my body was saying, "Karly, slow down and put yourself first". I rested in faith that healing will come at the right time and in the way it needed to.
When you surrender to what is and the messages your body has for you, your nervous system calms, and healing accelerates. So, fight FOR yourself, not against, by BEING GOOD to yourself, Warriors. Your nervous system will thank you and help you heal yourself.
